James Hogg

Historical Living and Combat Display Artist

I am a living history reenactor and performer within the HLC. I have been doing living history and combat for approximately 10 years, I got started because of my enjoyment and interest of history.  I really enjoy the physical aspect and martial side of historical combat and the research that goes with it.

Through the combat side I got interested in living history, learning and discovering all about the strange and unique facets of the history of the world and the regions that we live in.

In my day-to-day life I work as an administrator.  I’ve also been a model and photographer in my spare time. I’ve occasionaly been an extra in TV and film. After leaving university I tried my hand at working in the technical side of television and film.

Personal skills:  Photography, modeling, leatherwork, cooking, bartitsu, woodwork, acting, hema and IMCF Marshalling.
